Special Introductory Offer:  Be one of our first customers and receive free breedings  for the purchased female to any of our herdsires for as long as you own the originally purchased female.   What better way to show our commitment to customer support than by offering continued breeding services for as long as you own the animals you purchased from us.       

 

We are a small farm and well suited to help new breeders understand the important aspects of alpaca care and breeding on a small scale in a cost efficient manor.  Let us help you in the following ways and more:

•Farm start-up advice and support.

•Heard health and maintenance training including medical chart templates and nutrition.

•Fence and barn layout advice.

•A basic understanding of the tax advantages of starting an alpaca farm and more specifically the programs available to help farmers in Pennsylvania (Yes, alpacas are considered livestock in Pennsylvania). We can help you understand the programs that might help reduce and/or acquire the necessary capital to purchase alpacas.

•Halter show training and advice.  We can help you learn to show your own animals and/or we will gladly show your animals at any shows we may be attending.

•Fiber consulting.  Understanding the important aspects of fleece characteristics and production metrics is probably the most important skill that any alpaca breeder can acquire.  We will do our best to help you understand and collect important fleece characteristics and how best to prepare, collect, and skirt your alpaca fleeces for maximum return and/or for fleece shows.  As a customer you are welcome to bring your animals to our farm for shearing in the spring. 

•We can help you make breeding decisions based upon currently known color genetics and other genetically heritable characteristics.   

•Free board for 6 months.  We know it can take time to setup a farm.

•We know we probably have not covered all aspects that would be important to new or established alpaca breeders so if there is a service that is important to you please ask as we may be able to offer it to you.
