Alpaca farming is an investment.  Most alpaca farms begin through the direct purchase of animals and farm setup.  Others invest in alpacas through boarding at another farm.  Both methods have been successful in the alpaca industry.  Our farm consisted of a total of only 10 alpacas at the start of 2008.  After just two highly competitive shows (MAPACA and PAOBA) our farm garnered a total of  11 ribbons including a reserve championship and 5 blue ribbons.    2009 ushered in another 100% show winning year of our entire production from the previous season.   Our foundation is strong and we now take on the pursuit of continued improvement upon this initial success.  Whether you are interested in becoming an alpaca farmer or are more interested in a unique way to diversify your investment portfolio please give us a call or stop by for a visit.  We are looking for the perfect partnership to make Stone Meadow Alpacas a truly elite alpaca farm.  We are very excited about the future of the alpaca industry and are equally excited by the possibilities of making an even bigger impact on the future of the alpaca industry.
